off of your dogs nails? use polish remover. off of your dogs fur. wash it out with remover and if that dont work trim that part of his fur off.

Soap and water will take it off. It doesn't adhere to skin very well. Fur, might be a problem though, you might want to cut any fur with polish on it.

um idk ur question isn't very clear but I would go with NYC cuz they don't hav the toxins that other nail polishes have, that can be very bad for you. If you don't want to use NYC then I would ';un-suggest'; sinful colors. I use that to give myself french manicures, but I have to do it like twice a week because it chips really quickly! Any who that's my two cents!!!!

Removing Nail Polish Stains?

I've been wearing a dark blue polish for about 2-3 weeks. When I took it off it left stains on my nails and i want to figure out how to get them off. They're around the cuticle and the edges of my nails.

there is really not any way to remove it completely but there are some tips





next time you apply a dark nail polish- remember to put on a base coat to protect your nails, which would also minimize these effects for the actual nail.





first when removing it with the nail polish remover- before you do so- put some oil under your nails and on your cuticles, something like jojoba or vitamin e should help.next put the nail polish remover on ure cotton pad and place it on your nail, press it on the nail for a few seconds without budging- then move it from side to side and then quickly move it off to the end, don't move it back and forth as it is push the polish under your cuticles.use a q-tip or wrap some cotton on a stick and carefully try to get under the cuticles.





i also find that after using dark colours, you can try to cover it up and paint your nails with white nail polish, then when you remove that the dark bits should be less apparent.





if all else fails you could buff them a bit to remove this discolouration.
i know that you can use hairspray to get it off carpets...

I can't say I care about girls and their nail polish. Just foolishness if you ask me. What I do like though is well kept natural nails. I saw this buffer once, looked like a large emery board but it had special grit on it. Buffing your nails smoothed out the nail completely allowing for the next grit to make the natural nail shine just like it was painted a high gloss. Lasted one heck of a lot longer too.





No, for me a natural hand looks one heck of a lot better than a painted one. Same goes for all that makeup too.

I have had polish thicken over time even though I had never opened it. I tried adding nail polish thinner to some of them, but I could never quite get the right consistency and ended up throwing them out. The beauty shops probably have enough customers they can use their products faster than we can. I really think it would be more practical for you to just have basic colors of clear, red, pink, and beige. Maybe a white frosted and something glittery for fun.





Remember it鈥檚 much better to apply lots of thin coats of color rather that one thick one, it will dry quicker and last longer. Always use a clear base coat, and top coat.





Note: Thinner should only be used if necessary, and only added at least 20 minutes before use.

Its not a waste. Sure you can collect them. And the nail salons collect them too, and the way that they preserve their polish is to add pure acetone whenever it looks like its drying or cklunking up. Pour just a little in there, and shake the bottle. Like new. I promise!
you can use this seche restore thinner . so it`ll last a long time you just drop a 2-3 drops in the nail polish and it`ll be good as new ! and a nail polish collection would be cute :)
U can collect what ever U like. Nail polish does have a ';shelf life';. I think that the nail polish on display is just for display so that customers can chose a colour. Salons can afford to do this, only U can decide if it is worth it to have your own collection.

Good polish will be fine if stored away from heat and light. I'm wearing a 12-year-old OPI right now (Jasper Jade).





I have a ton of polish, use them all, and have fun with it. If you want a collection, just pick up the really cool ones you see, save them, and in time you'll have one!





Also - NEVER put acetone in polish - it will destroy the texture and finish! Only use nail polish thinner.

Once you open the bottle , you have to use it. Salons have a big turnover, so they use the polish frequently. If not they thin it with something. I forgot what. Anyway the colors change every season. So I'd collect something else.

Feelings on black nail polish?

we all see that black nail polish has now become pretty popular and isnt automatically associated with ';goth'; anymore. How do you feel about it, would you allow your son or daughter to wear it? I have an 11 and 9 year old and i bought some for haloween but i assume my daughter will want to wear it more than that and i dont think its a big deal, how do you all feel about it?

i happen to really like black nail polish and use it often in the fall/ winter. Im 24 year old mother and wife and i dont think theres anything wrong with it. Its just fun sometimes and its a really big fall back color for me. Anyway I like dark colors and I'm not some crazy teen goth cult any of the stero types. I the married mother of one with another on the way. My husband is the general manager of a local resturant. Of course I do get some strange looks from the older people we met and out of respect for my husband if we are going out and meeting important people I try to reign my reblious side as he calls it in and either wear no nail polish or something alittle less flashy(lol I usally go with pale silver on these occassion).

Its not a big deal, it's just nail polish and it comes off. If you try to control ever single behavior you will end up with a kid with 14 tatoos by age 19 LOL.


My mom let me have pretty much creative freedom when I was that age. Now I dont find it necessary to have a tatoo, or piercing.
For the 11 yr old I would say it is fine even all the time, I wouldn't let my 9 yr old wear it all the time though, and I would not let my son (if I had one, I only have girls) wear nail polish at all and I am pretty liberal, and I know for a fact my husband would freak.

Maybe wouldn't hurt to try it - you'd have to crush it really fine, or the polish wouldn't look good on your nails. I did well with hoof creme (yes, for horses hooves), it has a slight and pleasant odor. Also Knox drinking gelatin is great. Hard to find in stores, might have to contact the company. Good luck.

Last year I spilled red nail polish on a brand new white knit blouse. I was crushed. I looked up online and they said nothing could be done. I experimented and my blouse was as good as new with no trace of polish. I used ';Awesome';, let it soak, then I scraped what I could with my fingernail, washed it and still some remained. I kept repeating the process. I bet I washed it 5 times. Awesome works and scraping what you can. I ended it by washing in vinegar. Don't rub it together because the color will spread. Painstakingly, take your time and use Awesome, scrape, blot and wash and repeat til clean. I was amazed that I got my white blouse cleaned, it was the first time I wore it and I could have cried when it happened, but miracles do happen! Good luck to you.





Oh, this is a rough one :-( Especially once the fabric has been hit by acetone remover (cheap brand of remover or not) it might not be removable. However, how about some really small cute appliques from a fabric store sewn on over the polish stain? It would 'dress' the dress up and make the dress even more heart warming for the effort.

Neither. Black nail polish definitely isn't an original idea. It depends on what you're wearing. I wear a lot of Express clothing, which is classy, business casual, so I do black nails quite a bit but I do it for a classy look. If you wear more ';goth'; or ';emo'; stuff than you'll look goth or emo.
I think it can go both ways. it can really look overly goth if you wear all black or chains or stuff like that. but it can look flirty and cool and fun with pink polos (my favorite) and bright colors. for a really bold statement try fluorescent colors and bold makeup. black nail polish can look cool or emo, it really epends on the look you are going for.

Yeah... It'll ruin your nails... not only by staining them, but people tend to forget that there is ALCOHOL in them... like nail polish remover. The alcohol will suck up all the natural oils and moisturizers you produce to keep that healthy sheen to your nails

what you have to do is to put 1 or 2 base coats on first, so it won't stain your nails. and after you color it on with sharpie, put on a clear coat. and it'll look like real nail polish.

i have never heard of such a problem....maybe u cud try putting on a coat of nail strengthner or nail hardner before u put on nail polish...still if it presumes well then u cud iron some piece of cloth or dip it in hot water and then put it on ur toes...it will help for sure in case of swollen toes.....

Thats the best part about Avon instant manicure.....no need to wait on them to dry. Go on to bed. Those are great and last a decent amount of time. Just wait and let it dry out and see if it gets any better. My kids doused my blackberry with water last month and the screen turned all cloudy looking, but it is slowly improving as it dries out in there.





Other than try to take it apart, I don't know what you can do. Did you get damage protection on it? Maybe you can return it or replace it.

Do not use nail polish remover, it could very well eat away at the leather. Try using Goo B Gone, you can find it at Lowe's or Home Depot and it won't harm the couch. If that doesn't work, contact the manufacturer or someone who does leather tanning and ask what they recommend. As far as the wood floor, try using the Goo B Gone first and if that doesn't work go ahead and try the nail polish remover but use small amounts and work it with a clean dry cloth. But be warned that it may leave the floor looking dull and a lighter color from the acetone eating the wood finish.Nail polish disaster! Help?

Miracle product to remove paint/marker/nail polish?

I bought an antique dresser that is absolutely darling. I've been cleaning it but it's got what looks like nail polish splatters on the top and regular paint on the drawer faces. I have Goo Gone but haven't tried it yet...I don't know if that'll work or not. Also, the dresser itself is painted white so I don't want the cleaning solution to take the paint off...

Sure will. That little sucker will clean anything!! Nail Polish can be removed also with rubbing alcohol/nail polish remover, Test a small area you can't see first to see if it takes the finish off first. (Before using the nail polish remover) But try the magic eraser. Im SURE it won't take the finish off the dresser, but i'm not sure it'll take the nail polish out. The alcohol/remover is a last resort... but that magic eraser will get just about anything out!Miracle product to remove paint/marker/nail polish?
Anything you use on an antique has the potential of ruining it.





Mr Clean magic erasers are great, but might remove the old paint.





Goo gone will not remove the nail polish.





The best bet with an antique is to take it to a professional.





If it was not an antique, I would suggest stripping the dresser, and re-staining it.

Clear nail polish is the finishing touch on a ';by the book'; manicure and pedicure for a man. If you want your nails to look nice to you then do what you need. My brother in law gets his done when he gets manicures and pedicures and I would not want to be the one to call him gay.
my fingernails are painted a sheer light blue, my toenails a deep red, I'm not gay, just a straight cross dresser who likes pretty nails, i know regular straight guys who just like having pretty nails.

oooh that's interesting.. hmm... that's tough, really tough. I suppose it just depends on if such things would go with the rest of your look. Like Adam Lambert (I know he's gay, but still using him as an example) is extremely, extremely sexy, and I believe he wears things like that. It works with the rest of his look... then there's Johnny Depp, with his pirate garb. The eyeliner looks good there... but I assume you aren't going for the pirate look.





Anyway, I'd say that if you do want to keep wearing eyeliner, then don't wear too much. Maybe look up some specific techniques to wearing/applying it that would help it complement your face. With the nail polish, I'm hoping and assuming it's black or something dark like that. I guess that isn't weird. I know a couple of straight guys that wear it and it looks fine.





Yes, it CAN be rather attractive, but that's my opinion. Different girls like different kinds of men. Some like the rough and rugged looking men, some like the surfer boys or jocks, and others like the men with a slightly more feminine face. All of these can be extremely attractive, and if you want to wear the eyeliner and such, you need to target the girls that like more feminine faces. Good luck figuring out which girls likes which :D

It'll be safe to use, but it won't be good quality (chipping, uneven coats, ect). I use mine for a year, tops, and then I throw it out.
well it doesnt do anything bad besides its probably really thick, and clumpy but it doesnt mess up your nail in any health way
No because its probably all nasty and dried out, LOL! Plus when you try to put it on it will be all clumpy, LOL!

yea, very weird, but my brother is deathly deathly afraid of nail polish. He screams and runs away, cry and go extremely crazy when i get my nails done. It usually be dark or bright colors, not french manicures. He said he dont like to see it especailly on family. He says something about being embarrased, yea sounds very crazy (9yrs old) but im trying to listen to all the things he tells me so that i can help his weird but!!!
